I have finally found the way of chinese tea during a recent visit to a China town tea house in San Fransico early in October 09. I have been an avid tea drinker through out my life and so has my Irish wife. The bells went off inside as I knew I have found another pashion in my life to go along with music and dance. I have found all of the articles in these issues to be most enjoyable and they do ring my bell. The Leaf is the best read on the subject of tea enjoyment. Very much a Fan! Thank you!

Issue 7 is in the works as we speak and should be up sometime within the next two weeks or so! The delay is due to the publication and promotion of my newest book "The Way of Tea". If you are looking for something to read in the meantime, it is available at your local bookstore or amazon.com :)

Not Sure, friend. This last year has been a bit slower than the previous one due to other projects, including my 4 books that are in various stages of publication. That said, we have been working and collecting articles and so I would think Issue 7 should be up within the next month or so.

Sure thing, friend. If you could just contact us with your email, we will pass it on to him. You can do so via the contact page on the main section of The Leaf website.

He is a great contact to have, indeed!

Administrator:

I just read the Dannaway essay on water and found that he and I share a number of interests regarding the art of tea and its history.

I wish to contact Dannaway about his studies, especially Daoist practices and beliefs.

I would appreciate your help in reaching Dannaway.

Thank you for your kind consideration.

I thought it was great as well. It is nice to know that others also see tea preparation as a doorway to within, rather than just mixing things around on the outside for entertainment. (Nothing wrong with that by the way, just as fruitless as making stamp books or collecting bugs is all).

Dear Mary Lou Heiss, I agree totally with you... I have myself a Naoko Shintani/Villa tray and I also would like to add I love when contemporary design items are mixed with tradition as chinese and/or japanese teaware... Sonomi Urakawa showed us that perfect match !
